Homes Needed
We have many animals looking for new homes. Please note however that our rehoming policy is that if you are no longer able to care for ANY animal adopted from us, then the animal is to be returned to us, not rehomed with friends/family, sold or given away. You will be asked to sign a form to confirm this.
Not every animal is available for adoption, some are permanent residents, some are our pets and are not for rehoming. Please do not get offended if we refuse to rehome a particular animal that takes your fancy!
We ask for donations for every animal adopted. Our first priority is to find the best homes that we can for the animals in our care. However, we are not a cheap option to the pet-shop.
Please have a look through some of our animals requiring a permanent loving home. The animals change regularly, please contact us if you are looking for anything particular, as we never know what will be with us from one week to the next.
DEGUS
Degus make lovely pets for the house. They are best kept as a group (males OR females), and a large, all metal cage is required. Chinchilla cages are the most suitable, the more levels the better.
Degus have very specific nutritional needs, they are not difficult to keep, but it is vital that they do not receive any sugary feeds, or fruit. They are best fed on a degu feed, chinchilla pellets, or guinea pig pellets. Hay should always be available, as should fresh water - they do drink a lot.
We can give you more information if you are interested in considering degus as pets.

RABBITS
We usually have rabbits looking for new homes, but not often babies. Rabbits are best kept in neutered pairs, and we do not recommend keeping two of the same sex together. Whilst this can work on occasions, often fighting will occur, sometimes very severe fighting.
Some of our rabbits are permanent residents, due to health or behavioural problems, but we do look for new homes for any friendly bunnies that come into our care.
Rabbits are not the best pets for young children, as they can bite, and often kick with their back legs when being picked up.
Please contact us if you would like to adopt a rabbit into your family.

GUINEA PIGS
Guinea pigs are brilliant pets, they are talkable and sociable, rarely bite and love attention. You will need a suitable hutch and run, and somewhere to be able to bring the piggy inside for the winter, a shed or garage would be fine. Guinea pigs will not thrive with our harsh winters! There are plenty of good guinea pig feeds on the market, but hay is essential for their teeth and general wellbeing.
Please contact us if you would like to know what guinea pigs are needing new loving homes.
